A little bird with no name wanted to become the queen of the forest. All the birds got together to decide who among them would become the queen. After much chatter, the wise owl told them that the best flyer should be the queen. All birds starts racing and the eagle was the one who could fly so much higher than the other birds and so majestically. However when she landed, a little bird who had hidden on the eagle’s back said he was the one who flew higher but it could not have done without the help of the larger bird. The Eagle became at once the queen and she announced that from that day on, the little bird without a name would become a wren or the ‘king of the birds’.

Karim lives in a war torn country. He dreams to see zebras. His cousins take him to the zoo for the first time. He is disappointed, half of the animals died during the war and there are no zebras. His cousin tells him, maybe the zebras have been taken away so they can be washed. They will have to come back the day after. His cousin feels sorry for Karim. She has a brilliant idea. She speaks with the zoo director and with the help of the neighbours, get two white donkeys to the zoo on which they pain black stripes. The next day, Karim goes back to the zoo with his cousins and he is so happy. He finally gets to see zebras and even rides on their back.

‘The greediest Rajahs and the whitest clouds’

The Rajah was greedy, he liked living surrounded by wealth while his people were starving to satisfy his greed. One day, he was looking at the sky when he decided that he wanted the whitest cloud. His wisemen told him that he had to get a special kite that will take him up in the sky and allow him to bring down the whitest cloud. The kite was decorated with many jewels and precious stones. The Rajah finally took off on his kite and climbed up to the sky, then all of a sudden the kite stopped. It was too heavy and could not go up so the Rajah removed all the precious stones and throw them away. The people were so happy to see the greedy Rajah going up and receive the jewels. The Rajah kept climbing and was never seen again but if you look at the sky at night you can see him riding his kite.
