The sessions include storytelling, language learning, and community activities.

Looking for a relaxed way to brush up on your French or your Spanish? Join our new monthly French & Spanish conversation groups at Le Toboggan!

This is not a formal class—it is simply a friendly opportunity to practice speaking French and Spanish in a safe, supportive environment. Whether you are just starting out or are a fluent speaker looking for a “blabla,” everyone is welcome.

  • No judgment: We are all here to learn and share.

Le toboggan at the Findon Library, SA for a Spanish story time

We are pleased to announce that we are organising with the Findon Library a Spanish story time.

We look forward to reading to the Spanish speaking community as well as the families wishing to expose their children to another language.

The Spanish story time will be held on Friday 1 May from 10am to 10.45am.

Findon Library is located at the Findon Shopping Centre, 303 Grange Rd, Findon.

2024 International Mother’s language Day

2024 international mother language day - le toboggan

You are invited to celebrate this year’s international mother’s language day by joining us for an amazing international story time.

We will gather on the grounds of the Fremantle Arts Centre on Saturday 17th February 2024 from 3pm.

Thanks to our kind multilingual volunteers from the Multilingual Australia, Goethe Society WA, Arya Hindi Vidyalay and many others, we are able to bring you this fantastic event that celebrates the cultural and linguistic wealth of our communities.

There will be stories read in Italian, German, Hungarian, Bahasa (Indonesian), Hindi, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese.

Free event. No booking required.

International story times at the 2023 Scribblers Festival

Le toboggan is very proud to bring a multicultural touch to this year’s Scribblers Festival.

We will be organising 4 international story times. Mark your calendars!

1pm – Chinese / 3pm – Portuguese

Sunday 29 Oct

1pm – Spanish / 3pm – French

Le toboggan’s French and Spanish tours at the WA Museum UPDATE

Our Spanish and French tours are now open to the language learners.

You do no need to master the language. Our tours offer additional exposure to enhance your language skills. We organise interactive activities and the language learners receive a vocabulary sheet related to the gallery visited.

No matter what your language level is we are happy to adapt the tour to all level of proficiency.

We can also arrange tours for language groups or schools.
