2024 International Mother’s language Day

You are invited to celebrate this year’s international mother’s language day by joining us for an amazing international story time.

We will gather on the grounds of the Fremantle Arts Centre on Saturday 17th February 2024 from 3pm.

Thanks to our kind multilingual volunteers from the Multilingual Australia, Goethe Society WA, Arya Hindi Vidyalay and many others, we are able to bring you this fantastic event that celebrates the cultural and linguistic wealth of our communities.

There will be stories read in Italian, German, Hungarian, Bahasa (Indonesian), Hindi, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese.

Free event. No booking required.

WA Museum’s Wildlife Gallery- Marsupials – in French and in Spanish with Le toboggan

We are ending this year language tours at the WA Museum with a fun visit. We learn about marsupials in an interactive and educational manner.

Did you know that not all the marsupials had pouches?

Join us t learn more fun facts about these iconic Australian animals.

French visit on Sunday 3 November at 10 am and Spanish on Sunday 5 December at 10 am.

$10/per person. Cost of the tour in French of Spanish only, adults will need to either purchase a membership (from $15) or a ticket at the entrance of the mUseum ($15).

International story times at the 2023 Scribblers Festival

We will be organising 4 international story times. Mark your calendars!

1pm – Spanish / 3pm – French

Le toboggan’s French and Spanish tours at the WA Museum UPDATE

Our Spanish and French tours are now open to the language learners.

You do no need to master the language. Our tours offer additional exposure to enhance your language skills. We organise interactive activities and the language learners receive a vocabulary sheet related to the gallery visited.

No matter what your language level is we are happy to adapt the tour to all level of proficiency.

We can also arrange tours for language groups or schools.

We are back in 2021 at the City of Perth Library, Hay Street, with more wonderful stories in Spanish and i French.

Everyone is welcome, non speakers too.
