Happy harmony day & multicultural book reading

le toboggan bookstore

Happy Harmony week!

This week the State Library of Western Australia and Better Beginnings are launching the multilingual reading of their book ‘Baby Ways’.

All the parents of the children born in WA receive a copy. A wonderful initiative to promote early literacy.

Thanks to the contribution of amazing volunteers, the book was read in several languages. It was an honor to have been invited to read the book in French and in Spanish.

For all the videos visit the library’s YouTube channel or click on the link.

‘Mon imagier du jardin’

mon imagier du jardin - le toboggan

In French, from 8mo.

Gorgeous board book, brightly illustrated. This picture book is ideal to expand the vocabulary of the garden as well as learning through touch. Your chid uses his fingers to follow the ridges, turn the pages and see what images are partially hidden behind the holes. This sensory experience will make the reading more interactive. Each double pages contains a page of vocabulary with words and illustrations and a context page. You can also play a ‘look and find’ game.
