“I’m Learning to Read with Sami and Julie” is a collection of short stories specially designed for children learning to read. The text is large, the words are clearly separated, and the lines are well-spaced.

The stories are short and very easy to read. Written with vocabulary appropriate to their reading level, the amount of text is reduced and adapted to keep children motivated and build their confidence. In addition to the story, the book includes: tips to support children in their first reading experiences, character introductions, pre-reading activities, and at the end: “Did you understand the story?” to help children make sense of what they’ve read and go beyond simple decoding, as well as a section “What do you think?” with questions to encourage reflection or simply to spark discussion about the story.
