Sami et Julie CE1 – La tête dans les étoiles

This summer, Sami and Julie are going to the Pic du Midi Observatory for a magical night… that will leave them starry-eyed! This book is intended for children in first grade (CE1 in the French system). “I Learn to Read with Sami and Julie” is a collection of short stories specially designed for children learning to read. The text is large, the words are clearly separated, and the lines are well-spaced.

The stories are short, funny, and very easy to read. Written with vocabulary appropriate to their reading level, and with a reduced and adapted amount of text, they keep children motivated and help them gain confidence. In addition to the short story, the book contains: advice to accompany the child in their first readings, the presentation of the characters and at the end: “Did you understand the story well?” to give meaning to what the child has read and go beyond simple decoding as well as a section “And you, what do you think?” with little questions to “make you think” or simply discuss around the story.
