Now that Poppy knows exactly what a mystery is, and Truffles has (more or less) agreed to be her assistant, the great detective duo is back. And this time they have a case on their hands that’s truly hair-raising. When a new neighbour and her kitten move in next door, Truffles is eager to meet her. Finally, someone who will understand him and isn’t an overexcited puppy! But it’s very strange that the kitten is nowhere to be seen. Poppy isn’t interested in that at all, since there’s a very mischievous person chewing on everything, and she wants to find out who it is. One night, when she decides to organise a sleepover (or, rather, a night watch) to catch the culprit, she notices that Truffles’ toys are moving on their own. Could a ghost be responsible? Something’s definitely off, and it’s not the smell of Truffles’ tuna treats. Poppy will put her Poppytective skills to the test to uncover the truth about this enchanted animal and face the toughest challenge of all: making new friends, even if they are ghosts!
