Ms. Hoppe has palpitations when she looks out the window and sees her students coming. She is so excited that she would like to disappear into a hole. But then they storm into the class. Shouting, shoving. Tears.

Teacher Henriette Hoppe is excited because she has her first day of school as a teacher. At first she hardly finds her school, then she ignores her alarm clock and sets off in her nightgown. But then, finally, we can start reading, painting and doing gymnastics. It will be a fabulous first day of school!
