Description
The Invisible Man is a famous science fiction novel written by H. G. Wells. The work was originally published in installments in Pearson’s Magazine in 1897 and as a novel the same year. The invisible man in the title is Griffin, a scientist who theorizes that if a person’s refractive index is changed to exactly match that of air and their body does not absorb or reflect light, then it will not be visible. Griffin manages to carry out this process on himself, but is then unable to become visible again, reaching an unstable state of mind as a result.
