Description
“When I grow up, I will really be very big.”
Thus begins this book in which a child imagines all the things that he will be able to do (and enjoy) as an adult. “I’ll have an ice cream lunch. I will have a different job every day of the week. My favorite will be taking animals for a walk. I will live in a tree house. ”As the child narrator lists these things, the reader can see and count them: 5 scoops of ice cream, 7 jobs a week, 8 animals for walks (including a pig and a giraffe) and so on.
A poetic tale of adulthood as seen by a boy transformed into a great and absurd adventure, beautifully illustrated by the graceful and charming art of Maria Dek.
