This is a story of little girl whose family and friends settle in the forest. She loves listening to the different sounds of the forest, from the leaves rustling to the birds singing. As the adults build a village, more and more trees are cut down. Winter comes along with cold days and more wood is needed. Each spring the forest is more and more silent. The little girl decides to play her violin but after a few years, she is the only one making sounds as the forest is no longer and the animals left.
