Book review: ‘Miss Peregrine’s home for peculiar children’

In Chinese, French, Indonesian. From 12yo.

In order to make sense of his grand-father’s death, Jacob sets off on a journey to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children who once lived here – one of whom was his own grandfather – were more than just peculiar. They might still be alive!

This mixture of a great story and photography always leads us to think that this is a real story. Everyone young and older readers will be delighted by Jacob’s adventures.
